Technical Support Services at Triometric

Due to our consistent growth, we are looking to hire a bright, talented and motivated Oracle & Amazon Web Services (AWS) Application Support Engineer to join our team and contribute to our business growth.


As a Support Engineer you will be joining our in-house Technical team to work on real-world projects for our Travel Industry and Enterprise clients.


A key component of the Triometric product is the Oracle database. In this role you will become familiar with Oracle database technology and in time highly proficient with it. This will be achieved through on the job learning and Oracle training programs (approximately annual) with a view to Oracle Certification.


Triometric Support Engineers are responsible for ensuring the continued satisfaction of our blue chip client base. The role involves working with and maintaining multi-terabyte Oracle 12c/11g databases, Amazon Web Services Cloud infrastructure and keeping high-throughput systems running 24/7.You will work closely with our customers and our development team in installing our product, carrying out maintenance and software upgrades, providing Oracle database and application support, ensuring the smooth running of systems, troubleshooting and fixing issues, as well as some internal system administration.


Our technical team members are highly valued and we have opportunities for increased responsibility and technical specialism as you progress with Triometric.


Required skills and experience

  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science (or technical degree with Computer Science content) OR directly relevant experience
  • Ability to trouble-shoot and diagnose technical software problems
  • Knowledge of SQL and databases (ideally Oracle) OR in using Linux / UNIX systems OR in using large scale Cloud / AWS infrastructure
  • Strong intellect, attention to detail and desire to improve systems and processes
  • Graduate level written and oral English and good interpersonal skills
  • Organised and able to manage and prioritise their own work


Desirable skills and experience

  • Knowledge of computer networking and configuration
  • Experience providing customer service and support



This position is based in Triometric's office in Egham, Surrey. Free parking is provided and the office is located within easy walking distance of the train station, with easy access to London Waterloo and Reading.
